Hi mike and Broken Wind pick what you think you need from this post if you like......It's real as far as I know. Just trying to help; a ZX-10R ought to get into the nines if a guy really wants to ; I think .

I ran my ZX10 this past weekend in AMA Postar 1000SS

After Lowering it, gearing it. Akrapovic EV 1 pipe, PC3USB tuned MR9 fuel. Stock Wheelbase.

I ran 9.46@150

1.63 60ft
4.16 330
6.20@121 1/8
7.95 1000ft
9.46@150mph



after only 7 passes. I'll be going 9.20's after some seat time and practice.

Hi Mike and company; more (engineering) data from same source I plagiarized first post above:

Notice Mr Normjack went from 151 hp to 165 hp. Significant wouldn't ya think...:

I guesstimate you would pick up at least 4hp with just modded can (as per Mr. DKET) and at least 4 hp more with MR9 fuel (as per Muzzy dyno charts with MR9). This for about $50.00 or less? (depending on MR9 fuel price).

Seems in line with your goal to spend as little as possible. Just pointing out options for ya to choose from.

I'm here!

I haven't run since trying the 15 tooth front and slowing down.

My best pass to-date is:

60': 1.78
330': 4.48
1/8: 6.62 @ 115.1
1/4: 10.06 @ 144.9

This is lowered 4" rear, strapped front, 16 tooth front sprocket, 185 lb rider.

Best 60' to-date: 1.690 (15 tooth front sprocket)
Best 330' to-date: 4.445

The problem is that with more throttle and aggresive clutch release, comes more wheelies.

This d@mn bike wheelies uncontrollably in 1st and the beginning of 2nd gear at the stock ride height, which makes the 9.70 bone stock claims seem unbelievable.

Ryan Schnitz recommends adding weight to the front axle and removing the seat (lower CG).

I would like to know the WHOLE set-up of someone running mid/low 9's with a ZX-10R.
