Huh?? That's some heavy oil, mon! I guess it depends on the temp range you need... You riding in Saudi Arabia or something?

Just about swft. With the exception of today, cold front came through. Lower sixties for a high and everyone was wearing their coats.

Got the DVD today amd just finished watching the race, THANKS!!!!
I put the KAWKEM 10-40 back in until about 1800 - 2000 miles and then I'm putting Spectro Golden in it, I run it in my other bikes to and haven't had a problem.

I put in Bel Ray EXP 10W-40, but I think I'll change to the full synthetic EXS 10W-40 after a couple of thousand kilometers.

save yourselfs some cash in the beginning...Always use the OEM Kawasaki oil filter, castrol 10-40 is perfect for break in...Then go to synthetics for longevity and a smoother engine and tranny...

I just, at 1870 miles, put in Motul 5100, in the 10W40 flavor.
Smoother shifting, less noise from down below, but a finer vibe at 6200 then I felt before.
Also, note that the sump and heat exchanger hold some oil even if you take the drainplug and filter out. It takes just under 3Q to change the oil and filter, not 4Q (or 3.9L).
