Oil Light on (heavy rain)

Well another great day in Ohio. I get stuck in a storm today. I look down at my cluster and the oil light was on. I have 210 Miles on the bike and no probs. I pull over under a bridge (very dangerous I must say) to check the oil level out. I turn the bike back on and the oil light is on but very faint almost out. I went on temp is ok power is ok no probs but light still dimm but still on. I come to a stop light and shut the bike off again. Start back up an no light. Anyone have this problem or know what it could have been or was it a fluke? Could the rain water worked its way into a wiring harness and caused a short? Any info would be great. Thanks all!

funny... i road in the pouring rain and had no probs whatsoever....

one of the fellows had this happen after his oil change... are you guys pre-filling you oil filters before installing the new one... I would think that's your problem.. or part of it... (for the one guy on the other website)
