Actually - Hanks bike (the black 10 Dennis was riding) put up a 150.6 on the same dyno that mine put out 149.4 about an hour later.

Hanks bike had 300 miles and mine 1300.

Not sure why the Hayabusa owners still think it is king. I just got rid of a GSXR 1000 and raced several busas and won not sure if they could ride but outcome was they lost. Power to weight is key. If the 10 makes more power than a stock busa and weighs oh about a ton less. Do the math I am sure they will never shut up but I will once again spank the next busa I go against with my 10 also. It wont be on the turns. Busa is a great (BIG) bike but its time is up hasnt changed since 1998 wow alot has since then. It is a OLDIE BUT GOODIE. LOL

My 10 put out 147 rwhp so I'm not so sure they have more hp than the hayabusa.I agree the handling and weight is no comparison.

stock Busas usually dyno in the low 150s, but they make an assload of torque.

If you would be so kind as to expound on just how much an 'assload of torque' is i'd appreciate it.

lol, well... a true "ass"load would be 200lbs, judging by my particular ass

The assload I'm refering to is 95-100ft/lbs.

It is not JUST the amount of Tq the busa makes, but how low (RPM) that it makes it. As much as I love my 12, there is something about that 'down-low' grunt of my busa

btw- go visit the buell and cbr600 boards.

Those guys have NEVER-EVER-NEVER lost to a busa, either.

I guess I lost to a kid on a cbr600 once, because I would NOT race him.
I wonder what stories he told about the guy on a busa that was too afraid to even race him? Same with a guy on the 'big 1200' sportie!

Why are we not comparing everything to the gixxer 1000?????????

Oh well it is the IT

Nuthin quite like liftin the front at 3Krpm's - yes I miss it.

I don't miss the 100+ pounds though.

Ridin with the boys this weekend out in Vegass made me want one again - if I lived there.

But I don't so the 10 is pretty much the shiaat fer me.

btw again, the stock 12 makes more HP than the busa. The 12 should have been refered to as the stock hp king?

Is it time to start talking about aeros and weight not meaning much for the absolute TOP SPEED?

Absolute top speed?

Whatcha think the 10 would do with scaled down Bus bodywork and no restrictor?

Kind of along the lines of the New 12 thread I started - I think that this combo/merger Superbike would be way to un-PC for various and sundy politicians to accept/allow.

10 frame with busa torque and hp (would prolly be a 1200 due to Kawi's consistently high comp ratio motors) and some decent-ish aeros ta go with it.

Bring it on!
