Clutch Cable Routing?

Hi,

I just finished installing my euro signals up front. I ended up removing some plastic as well as the piece that the lights connect to.

Anyway, when I did the passenger side (if there is such a thing on a bike), I may (or may not) have routed the clutch cable wrong.

The way it is now, when I turn the bike left, you can not hear the clutch cable sliding. When you turn the bike right, you can.

The cable is not catching on anything but I am unsure if the cable should be sitting between one of the spots where you fasten the fairings together.

I am not saying that the cable is resting on anything, but I guess it could be routed a little differently.

If there was another ZX10R around I could probably take a look & see.

Anyway, any shot someone could take a digital picture shot of the front end of the bike aiming into the right side fairing?

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks,
Rich

Hi Rich

Funny i just finished mine an hour ago, but yes i made sure the cable didn't get hung up/bind anywhere while @ full lock in either direction. I believe the cable noise/sliding when you turn back to the right is fairly norm as it gets stretched fully when turned left and then slides back into position.

Big Daddy, I think I saw your bike on the R1 Forum. Is that a seat cowl or a seat skin on the rear. Did'nt look like the standard 10R cowl.
Thanks - Mike

Yup thats mine, and yes its the Second Look covers that the bike was delivered with unbeknownst to me, so a bit of a diff look i'd say. Eventually i'll have the rear cowl to cover it up but for now its fine.

There is a loop on the fork where the clutch cable is routed (mine is still there). It seems that the cable is poping back & while I wasnt paying attention at first, I dont remember when turning to the right (after left) it making a poping kinda sound. It never gets stuck though.
