What's everyones opinion now after a few weeks? As I have'nt picked up my 10R yet (I'm picking it up in about 2 weeks have to get full race Acrpovich,Euros,Braided lines, lowering links,16t sprocket, yellowbox, tinted screen,PCommander etc)
What is the feedback of owning a 10R now after a few weeks?
Is it living up to your expectations?
Are you glad you broomed your 12 or?
What besides the tach don't you like?

The surge around 4k-5k rpm while the valve is opening/closing is a pain while you do your break-in. But once you get past the break-in (or at least the second half) all is well. If given the chance all over and being able to put a few miles on one, I would truly purchase it all over again. The tach thing to me is not that big an issue since the bike has a shift light, and around town I really don't have time to be keeping up with rpm. One of my most fav bikes in the past was a '00 ZX6R it just did'nt have the power, this bike is killer. I know I will never come anywhere close to the bikes performance limits but it nice to know you got one of the hottest products out there. "2004 Sportbike of the year".
Yes, living up to all expectations and then some "nice commute to work".

Definitely the most noticeable "raining of the bar" in recent sportbike history. I from a 900RR to a 916 Duck to a '98 R1 to a '01 Gixxer1000 to the 10R. Until the 10R, each new bike seemed to be a small improvement, while the 10R is a different beast entirely.

It feels like everything I liked about my old bike, but more of it - stability, flickability, powerband - not infinitely stronger, but very definitely longer. And a lot less weight.

The bike is awesome. I think it is getting even more fun to ride as you get used to the Horsepower above 7,000 RPM.It wants to rip your arms off and you have to get used to it. I would buy this bike again in a heartbeat. I still love the looks I get from people at a stop light. Have put a Scotts Damper on it and it really feels good at speed now.

Well after 735 miles I can say that I'm really liking this bike. This is what a motorcycle is suppose to be. I thought that 15 years ago when I bought my ZX-10B which I still own btw. Each day it just gets better and better except for that damn tach!!!

Finally got a chance today to ride it thru some good twisties. Almost ran it off the inside of a few turns, it just turns so much better than what I'm used to. Power is great, acceleration effortless. Hit a large bump while leaned way over and it didn't even flinch. The front end on the 12 would kick out several inches on this same corner when hitting that bump. I'm used to the tach already. My only complaint is the mirrors. Can't wait for the first track day.

the bike is great !! I got alot of head shake today at the track. I went 11.11 on it mind you it has 800 miles on it and i ahve never road a bike at the track. I also wish the bike had mpre low end buit a gear, pipe and power comander will hopefuly fix that. I had one run today that was my best 1/8 mile but they didnt get the 1/4 mile time i was mad. it was a 7.253 at 1/8 every thing else was 7.4-7.54 time for that steering damper too

What I like is the way the power builds from down low.. comes on nicely... take it through the really tight stuff... slow 15mph hairpins and you can feed it on... much like my Ducati was... but hey. this is an inline 4... very interesting indeed.... perhaps the v-twins have a serious competitor now?

I ran a 12R yesterday at about my 845 mile point in the break in, my bike was ready. The first 100 miles, if the break-in is done per manufacture spec. is the most important. This has followed true on all my bikes, '82 GS1100E, '85 FJ1100N, '96 CBR900RR, '00 ZX12R and my 10R. I never even used full throttle, just rolled in it to 10K RPM and it never wheelied on me. She felt like she was going to come up, but she just carried the tyre, just skimming the roadway a little. When I would hit expansion joints in the roadway she would rock back and the tyre would float, but she never wheelied. I left in 2nd gear at about 40 - 50 mph and just tucked in and watching the tach and roadway shifting at 10K at the top of 2nd it was all over. I shifted to 3rd and 4th to remove all doubt though. I had at least 3 bikes on this guy when it was done, we pulled into Dairy Queen and there were other bikes there and one guy asked it she was all the magazines said it was. I just looked and him and told him to ask Eric (the rider of the 12R), Eric just nodded his head and laughed.

has anyone else taken a long ride on the bike yet? This weekend my buddy and I rode down to Houston (about 2 hour ride) and I have to say that the suspension was a bit stiff for me and the seat could stand to be a little more cushioned. By the time we got there my butt was pretty sore. Now, I know that sportbikes aren't known for comfort, but my '01 R1 felt like a loungechair next to the 10R. Just wondering if anyone else felt the same way...

Hey mano, get yourself a Corbin on the 10R. They have yet to produce anything, I was told they needed a model to develope a seat from. Not sending mine to anyone that can't build it in my garage.

Yea, 2 hours is really pushing it. Ass Killer, I tried to streatch out after about an hour or so last outing and it helped out. Will be keeping up with corbin in the future. I think 2 hours on any hyperbike would feel about the same to me . . .
