Kawasaki standing behind their product

Alright fellas, here is the history and details...
Got the 10r in blue, noticed 2 weeks later that the rear pieces don't fit quite right. Went back to the dealer and looked at some others, a couple fit perfect and a couple didn't fit quite right. However, both sides on mine don't fit quite right but the right side is very excessive. Dealer told me to call Kawasaki, so I did. Kawasaki told me to go back to the dealer, have them check it out and to call a Kawasaki Tech. This morning, I did. They saw the "excessiveness" and opened a ticket. While talking to a friend in the parts department, the service fella told me that the Tech advised that it was plastic, and things like that happen. Now I am home, called Kawasaki and asked how they could be like that. They are looking into it.

EDIT - Dealer and Kawasaki just called me back, they are going to "goodwill" this piece. What a relief, it took a little while, but I am glad they are standing behind their product. Now I'm officially a happy Kawi fan again....

That's one of the reasons I'm a Kawasaki fan. I've seen them warranty stuff over a couple of decades that I would be ashamed to ask for help on.

My bike has the exact same problem! I guess it's somewhat comforting to know that others have a similar issue.

I never thought of complaining about it, but it does look like hell. There has to be a 1/8 inch gap between both side pieces and the middle piece over the tail light. You can see the white tail light housing fairly noticeably on a green bike. I've pushed and pulled on things, but to no avail.

I'll try taking it apart to see what is keeping it from laying flush. Congrats on the replacement though. Now, what exactly are they going to replace?

They will have to replace the entire right side rear fairing. The piece in the picture, the part that has the zx10r sticker on it, don't know how long it'll be, but at least it's coming......now, if I could only get my rear solo cowling/windscreen/Eurospec blinkers that i ordered.
