Who here runs some sort of tire sealant?
Does anyone here run any sort of tire sealant in their sportbikes? Do you ride in the city and run the risk of a flat or a blowout? Are you willing to guve up a little unsprung weight in return for some added safety?

a plug kit in the tail works well for me (no, i do NOT mean this in the same way that ninjaboytoy would), but if sealant would reduce the affect of a blowout at speed, i'd use it. but i'm guessing it couldnt protect against a full blowout right? (like the ones at daytona this year)

Just thinking about things like what just happened to the new 636... must have run over a thumbtack or a staple... totally flat.. I've put slime in it right now as a temp. fix til I can order a new tire, but dame.. a pinprick size hole and your tire is toast... with only 100miles on it too... Same thing happened to me when I gt the 12R .. brand new tire.. picked up a nail.. tire sealant would eliminate that and at the very least get you home.

I take it that you haven't used the slime before??
After you take the tire off, I think you'll be sold on the plug kit.
For bikes that go thru tires every 2000 to 4000 miles, routine sliming would not be very fun clean up.
