ZX-10 At Local 1/4 Mile, Quick Version........

..........before I hit the sack.

. Bike is geared way too tall in 1st to drag race well, with 230 rider weight.
I had to come out at 8000 to 10000 rpm and slip the clutch a ways.
When it came on the pipe, I had to roll the throttle to match and carried the front end about 6" to a a foot off the ground.
Only used 3 gears in the quarter. The shift to 4th, with my weight was a waste of time, so I was better running out 3rd gear to finish.
Best run was 10.68 @ 135 mph. after 4 passes. I didn't want to run it anymore till I try lower sprocket and look at clutch. Seems ok from "fell" and clutch cable slack didn't change.

Found out that bike will pull to 14,000 rpm, :o when I missed a shift from 1st to 2nd. When I released clutch, I found that I was still in 1st and ran it up. Didn't seem to be hitting any rev limiter.
60' : 1.86 sec.

330' : 4.74 sec.

1/8 : 7.06 @ 109 mph

Air: 71 deg. @ 59 % Humidity

Eq Altitude: 1356' above sea level. ( 10.68 would be 10.55 if adjusted like magazines do )

wow, crossing the line in third at 135mph, was she in the red? The front sprocket is the same one that is used on the zx-7 while the rear is the same as the 12.
