Night-Ride . . .

Went on first night ride the other day and strongly considering a higher watt bulb. A few of you have mentioned that you have adjusted your headlight, did it make enough of a difference for you to feel comfortable or do you also feel like you need more? High beam is excellent. Seems like my standard lamp needs adjusting down and to the right.

The lights seem OK as long as you are not riding some twisties. After trying to get my low beam headlight more to the right, I figured that the nose on the bike is the limiting factor when trying to move the light to the right. As far a lighting up a straight highway, the ZX10 is as good as any other bike with stock lighting IMHO.

I have always felt that at 55 mph, I'm always "outdriving" my headlights when on low beam. In other words, there is no way I can safely react in time to whatever may come into view of my headlights at that speed, especially from the side (deer). Even with higher amp bulbs in the 12R I felt that way. It's only a problem when encountering oncoming traffic, of course. The rest of the time it's high beams only.
