Interesting how dyno's can show such different numbers, it that what you expected on your 12R. Thanks for the post - Mike

Mike,
No, I thought 168 was low, but I have grilled Cycle Barn extensively and thoroughly on this subject, and they swear their dyno is accurate. Considering they have more incentive to exagerate their dyno numbers then to minimize them, I have to believe them.

Sounds identical to what was done some 3000 miles away at sea level.

Yes, my 1361 made 212 hp on Velasco's Dyno last spring. I am very curious about what it will make @ this years Cycle Barn's shoot out. BTW my 12 won the shoot out 2 years ago with that 168 mark. There were many Busas, even a 1400 Busa w/Cams and a number of 12's w/full muzzys... Go figure

what did your 12 make stock- on that dyno? trying to get a reference point. When i say stock i mean really stock, like it came out of the crate stock.....do you have a baseline before your mods?

Does that 10R they dyno'd only have 50 miles on it er something?

My bone stock 12 made 156 on the same dyno. With the Full Akro, it made 167, and with the pcIIIr 168. I am trying to get more info on the zx-10 dyno, and will post anything new.

I don't have any info on the 10 except the dyno run, but I am trying....I did talk to a salesman who doubted they even had a 10 to test, so I'm somewhat puzzled. I am trying to get more info and will post anything new.

I dont want to start the whole issue about the industry folks and the bikes they got to play with and whether or not they were production....

But I have seen two dyno runs from true production ZX10's purchased from dealers versus ones supplied directly by KMC and they were both right around 150.

No doubt there are enough folks here who have them that we can get real people numbers. Time will bear out the true numbers soon enough.
