04R1 vs. Zx10r (NO RINGERS) dyno chart

Same ownwer of both bikes. Same break-in procedure.

NOTE: These are the off-the-shelf, over-the-counter bikes, NOT RINGERS!

I did not read the entire thread....

Yes read the thread, these dyno runs me nothing since there were run different days. Get a bunch of runs back to back with about 5 bikes each back to back from the dealership then you got something. The r1's curve stinks.

theres no way that over 4 mag tests from different places have the 10r kicking ass by 4 or more hp is that far off. 10 hp swing, no way. Put em both on the dyno at the same time and then after about 5 different bikes each get dynoed back to back were in buisness. Or many people having the same dyno sheet on back to back runs against each other. In most cases majority always rules.

Agreed-it should be easy enough ONE guy owns both of the bikes. (I may own them both in the near future)

I think it was 5HP not 10HP...Or are you referring to the 10HP difference between one of the earlier dyno charts of the ZX10R and the one posted on the site ?

I agree...They are done on different days..If it were my guess the R1 was run on a cooler and less humid day based on the fact that all of the other dyno charts I've seen with the bikes dynoed back to back on the same day show's the ZX10R consistantly WAY ahead

I can't wait until you guys start dyno testing your 10r's and round up some numbers from all over the planet.

We finally agreed? that most ANY full systems + pc3r+ K & N = 175 hp on the Zx12.

btw- every stock R1 chart I've seen has a hole big enough to drive a train through about 7K rpm- most YO-MAMA-HO guys are saying it is the EXUP valve. It will be 2-3 weeks until I can get my R1 with Graves FULL Ti+ BMC + pc3sub mapped and tweaked. I still expect the 10r will take the crown,
stock vs stock and similar bolt on mods.

sounds about right to me...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
F.Y.I It appears to make a big difference on how many miles are on the bike as to how much HP. it makes. We are breaking in another bike, it made 149 with 100 mi., 156 with 250 mi., and 159.9 with 425 mi.. The other bike had 1200 mi. at the time we ran it.

BW - True - ours had 25 miles on it and made 148 hp stock. The bike now has 1000 miles on it and it's coming back in for another set of runs. We expect it to be in the mid-high 150 hp area.

And also yes to the above mentioned "hole" that starts at 6200 rpm and bottoms out at 7k. It's huge. Doubt the EXUP is at fault. But would need to do more research.

Oh shit - guess you'll have ta flog one for a few hundred miles then.

All in the name of research of course.

Might even need to test in "controlled" conditions - if only there were some tracks around here.....

It's Not the EXUP valve on the Yo-Mamma-ho R1.....Previous R1's also had the valve and it did not produce the big dip...

The R1 has very weak torque figures...That's why they've got to rev so high to achieve the HP....

Kawasaki is producing much more torque and HP and is able to do it at a lower RPM....ZX10R has a much better motor..
