Yamaha is a CYA company, more so than the other 3. For those of us that had the old R1, we received recall notices for 2 sitiations that where entirely BS which where non issues and were about guys who dont know anything about bikes. To add locknuts to the side stand switch and a new hose clamp on the tstat housing in case the original was loose. Replaced with same clamp, but tighted by "a factory trained mechanic". Simple maintenance stuff.

On another note, we recieved a recall notice on our Tahoe because some moron stuck his finger beween the seat back and head rest then folded the seat down, then called his lawyer. So the recall was to add a sticker to say, "hey dumbass, dont stick your finger here while folding the seat down"

Unfortunately, stupid people are allowed to buy motor vehicles as well.

I've had 2 lemon law buy back for cars. Both GM's that are normally bullet proof.

Mass production is mass production.

Everyone will point to this one case, and forget that we have seen them in countless races pinned wide open. A logical person would ask, well if the guys racing them are not blowing up....

Hi Ivan. Knowing you, you have had both toys on your dyno.

Got any thing you can share about that??
