What temps are you guys seeing.... During your break-in? I know that we live in different parts of the country, but there should be some average range of operating temps seen.
As I'm picking up my 10R this weekend, I'd like to get an idea of what to watch out for while breaking her in. I think we all agree that heat is the enemy during those first critical miles.

Now you guys have me worried: mine runs in the 145-155 range at 70 mph, 65-70 degrees air temp. Thermostat stuck open? It has shown as high as 208 in stop and go traffic at the same air temps.

My 10 seemed to run a little warmer during the first 120 mile ride. I now have about 900 miles on it. At 65-70 ambient at 75 mph it usually indicates 150. I have noticed that the temp climbs pretty quickly when there is not a lot of air going across the radiator. It gets hot faster than my '98 R1. But it is a lot higher compression.

For a comparison.....My RC51 runs at 180 degrees in 75 to 80 degree weather while running on the highway at 70 mph.....In 60 degree weather it runs at about 167 degrees under the same conditions....Sitting at a stoplight for long periods it'll get as high as 220...Fans come on and cools it down to about 208...
It seems like your ZX10R's are running fairly cool which is a good sign

About 60 degrees in the Charlotte area ran around 170 or so. Would get up around 200-205 at long lights. Cooled off quicky on highway. - Mike
