Lady Riders Opinion

Hello 'ZX10R Zone', Just after getting hooked up with the 'other' forum it's keeled over, Hope this one lasts longer!
I collected my 10 on Sat 20th Mar. and I thought you may
be interested in a fairly subjective opinion from both my
partner and myself.
I've been riding a C2 zx9 for 5 years and he's been on an
02 Blade since it's launch in the UK.
Half a mile down the road from the shop and you just know
this is one 'special bike'
The engine is very linear in it's delivery (well up to 5k at least) pulling stronger than the 9 and without the kick
at 3k of the Blade. There's a little whine from the box
(straight cut primary?) but the snarl from within as well
as the pipe is a real treat. (Micron scorched Ti oval arrives tomoz, I'll keep you posted)
The gear box is a very pleasant surprise. After all the bad press in the U.K. I thought it would be a pig. Wrong! It's
way better than the Blade (less backlash and smoother) and
almost as good as the 9. I expect it will improve with more miles under it's belt and when we swap to a fully synth.
The chassis....Well what can I say other than it's 'kin'
magic. Taut and accurate with unbelievable flickability.
If you like the 02 Blade you'll love this!!! Riding back on the 9 makes you wonder if the frame is elastic and the bearings are all shot.
Brit mags critisised the 10 for 'too stiff' a set up, but I thinks it's more compliant than the 02 Blade.
Brakes, well they're improving with miles (only 80 so far)
better than the 9 but still not as powerfull as the Blade (yet!)
Looks.. Well, in green (yes GREEN, it's a Kwak after all)
it looks the 'dogs danglies'
I'm absolutely gob smacked with this bike. I fell in love with the looks at the Ally Pally bike show and decided to cough up the deposit in January to secure one of the first to arrive. I normally insist on a test ride, so it was a risk, but I am so pleased I took the chance. So if there are
any doubters out there sitting on the fence Splash the Cash and ENJOY. "Enjoy" as one Brit mag said, "Before it's BANNED"!!!
