Never had this happen before. . . I got my Orange ZX-10R for $9699 in Dallas last Friday (thanks to a hint from someone here). After ~200 break-in miles, I decided to see how it runs.
I've ridden fast bikes before. GSXR1000's, Hayabusa's, CBR1100XX's, and my own big-bore cammed Bandit 1200 which put down 90 ft lb and 140 hp (for sale $3800).
I tucked in behind the windscreen to get my weight as far forward and low as possible to deter wheelies. I rolled on the throttle at 30 mph in 1st gear. It pulled cleanly, but nothing to brag about. In the upper rev's, the front wheel started walking upward. This happens on virtually any 900+ cc sport bike. I slacked off the throttle just enough to get it to come back down. After the front wheel made contact with friendly mother earth, I shifted into 2nd gear.
This is the weird part. Right after shifting into 2nd (still in full-tuck, now accelerating past 100 mph) the front wheel gradually walked back up again. I had to roll off the throttle to keep it from wheelying over in 2nd gear! At 100+ mph. Did I mention that I was in the FULL-TUCK position?

Anyone feel the back tire spin up yet? I did that one time on snotty pavement while we were out riding. Smooth as silk. ____________

She sure is amazing.....and a bit scary.
On my last ride out, I gave her some juice In 6th gear along one of my favourite roads, which has a half mile straight with a small bumb? two thirds along it.
I hit this bump on the gas at over 160mph, and I had to hit the rear brake to bring the front wheel down from 45 degrees. She landed with a bit of a head shake, but no tank slapper thankfully.
No other bike I have ever ridden (12R, gixer, R1, etc...) has wheelied off this bump.

Like I said, it wasn't me, officer. It was him. We just have the same coloured bikes...

Sounds like lead ballast is in order - I don't want to do a Donald Campbell impression at those speeds...
