Reat seat cowl?

Dealership was taking their time ordering one...I said 'fuck it, I'll just take it out of their ass' and ordered it from Ron Ayers. Should get it in 7-10 days.

Price was $84 plus $7 shipping.

Do they have the Orange one at Ron Ayers? Cause if so, I can at least have the seat cowl to look at before my 10 gets here.

I believe that good dealer would give rear seat cowl to 10R buyer free of charge!
That's the way I'm going to get mine!!!

The ZX10 rear seat cowls are not scheduled to arrive in the US at Kawasaki's warehouse until March 31.

Hi Rich, Best way is to get your number from buykawasaki.com, then go to ronayers.com and do a part number search. It'll come up with the part and then you just add it to the shopping cart.

DB - *grins* Hey, if there's another online parts source, feel free to list it!

Rich - I think I heard that the cowls will be in the US Warehouse on something like the 28th, so in essence, I pre ordered online. I *think* some of the bodywork is being stocked right now, but not certain.

I hope it is available before then. My mother-in-law leaves the states to come over here on the 28th, so hopefully it will be in before.

The only thing with that $84.10 price that concerns me is that I think it's just for a portion of the seat...if you look at the diagram there are 2 other parts to go along with that piece (dampner and plug).... The dampner is $20 something..didn't check the plug. Anyways, I don't know if you order that part # if you get the whole thing. For example, on my 636 my cowl flew off and got scratched so I ordered another one and all that came in was the plastic, no mounting bolts/screws...just the plastic. So I took the old internals off the old cowl and put them on the new cowl.

Just trying to make sure we are on the right track, I would hate for anyone to get the cowl only to find a part of the cowl....wouldn't be too fun.

Is there a way to confirm this? I still don't know why Kawi just didn't give the damn thing with the bike!!

That's why it's important to order entire assemblies, if possible. And to verify what you are ordering on the kawasaki web site.

I think that's pretty much what I stated earlier to folks. Go to buykawasaki.com, get the number, then order it from Ron Ayers.

I just looked at the 6R's rear seat cowl. No assy number like there is for the 10R, so yep, you gotta order the individual piece parts.
