Your Baby's New Mods
Hello All (my new Family!!).
This is my first post, and I have just become a member also, although I am also a member of another ZX10R community too.
So, you get your brand new steed. Grandted, Bone Stock, she is more than most of us can find the limits on, but I personally love to personalize and improve my bike.
What mods will you be doing???
What brand of exhaust will you go with and why?
Thanks,
Spank her once for me.
Personally, I have to wait until the end of the summer to buy my new bike.

Clicking & adjusting. That's it.
Exhaust - Humm, let me think.... A Jardine would be one of many good choices. We (oops) they, make a Bolt-On, and/or a Slip-On. The advantage with the Bolt-On is it's less costly, and super-easy to install, and utilize the stock (and very nice & light) titanium S-Bend. HP gain is 1.6 HP, and 3 lbs of TQ in mid-range.
Equally easy to install, the Slip-On will gain 2.8 hp, and 3.6 lbs of TQ. It includes a larger diameter titanium S-Bend, but obviously costs more than the Bolt-On.
We (oops), they have no current plans to make a complete system. The stock titanium headpipes are extremely nice and unless you are all-out racing and/or looking for even more power, it's unnecessary to change them. But..... if you wish to, Muzzy will make a very nice one and surely will make big power over the stock headpipe.

KB, does your(oops), their exhaust have the deep sound to it, kinda like an Arrow or is it kinda raspy, as I'm trying to decide now.

Man, it sounds so good stock. But no bullshit, it sound even better with Bolt-On/Slip-On. You won't regret it.

My first mod will definately be a steering damper. I had a bad tank slapper last year on my brother's RC 51 and now I won't ride a bike without one.
Second mod will most likely be a slip-on. I'm leaning towards either a Muzzy or a Akropovic.

Kerry,
Does your Slip-On keep the valve?

Valve is in the collector. We will only be making a Slip-On and/or a Bolt-On. Valve is not affected.

Thanks - I think it will matter a lot for the street; you've probably got the numbers to show it.
