Pee Wee Gleason Back in the 80's the #1 1/4 mile gun for all the magazines was a guy named Jay 'Pee Wee' Gleason. If they wanted the absolute lowest times for their mags they hired him. Who knows whatever happened to him? Did he retire????

There was an article on him a while back (several years even, maybe) in an American magazine. They got him to come & run some new bike, but damned if I can remember where I read it!

I think he ended up in the medical field....a paramedic or nurse tech perhaps?....or was that somebody else?

Jay Gleason is, as far as I know, alive and well. His last known employment was with a roofing and siding company in So. Cal. The name of the company escapes me, but dats da poop.

I think it's Wes Cooley who's the nurse - and no I don't mean it in any way derogatorily - he could ride a bike! Still can, from what I've read.
