--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is Falconite's (Tommy's) son, Tanner. I know he's been a regular around these boards for a while. Hell, he practically bought his bike because of these boards. 'Course, he also liked to talk about his own death after his split with Donna...which, now, is a bit of a sad coincidence.

I just got word not an hour ago that Dad passed this morning. His congestive heart failure got the best of him...at least that's what I've been told. I figured that you all deserved to hear it as early as possible, seeing as you've served as an emotional outlet and support for him in the past. He talked about some of you guys like you were his brothers and sisters. I know that one of you is up working in Ashland, real close to me in Huntington. And I know that one of you sent him some sunglasses for no charge...he loved those. And someone else sent him some stripper clips for one of his guns. And several of you kept in contact with him on the phone.

All that, plus more, is the reason I figured you deserved to know. You kept him occupied and sane during his latest depression bout. For that I thank you. I have to head down to KY tomorrow to work out some funeral arrangements and whatnot.

Once again I want to thank you all for being a big part of his life. He was a tad misguided on some occasions, but he was a very caring person. Thanks for giving him someone else to care about.

Tanner James

Wow... that is so sad.
What a beautiful post from Falconite's son - Tanner.

I am sorry for your loss Tanner.
As much as your Dad was touched by the internet, he was reaching out and touching others.
Fish_antlers and I took the dog for a walk... it was just starting to snow.
We talked about Falconite, how we has just chatted with him during the Christmas chat.
He was a nice guy.
