TPS/nos/retard timing and more fuel
Looking for help with an idea, my bike '02 ZX12R has a 3 stage nos setup I have just built but I need to retard the timing and richen it up before I will feel confident with the 3rd stage (60-80HP).
I am already richening it up by altering the resistance to the ECU for both the air and water sensors, relay activated when spraying, ECU thinks bike is very cold.
Anyway, reading through the shop manual I noted that if the TPS is out of normal range the ECU locks the ignition timing to "ignition timing at closed throttle position" and sets the DFI into the "D-J method", which I believe is a map based upon engine RPM at heavy loads.
Question, will opening the TPS signal whilst spraying retard the timing and squirt more fuel?
By how much??
I only have a PC3 and no funds for the Schnitz retard box.
Any comments welcome!
