Big rim and Tire

Has anyone seen the 240 or 250 conversions on a zx-12. I seen the busa with one. Looks damn good. Makes the 200 look like a front tire. How do you think it would do on the strip.

Sure, if you like the fact that the tire is no longer centered on the bike.

How would it do on the strip... if you gotta ask...

TRAC does it just for looks. Its a $3500 conversion... almost the cost of a decent turbo kit. Sure you'd get mad props in the ghetto... but you'd get laughed at on the dragstrip.

If the tire has a bigger contact patch then I cant see why guys would laugh...Not worth the money though as you already said Steve...

Rick... that 240/250 tire is nothing more than pure poser. Id be scared to take it over 100mph... that shit would probably delaminate.

Freeking weight of it all is outragious.... Don Plesser at Plesser racing told me it was like 52 pounds or something like that... Swingarm/tire/wheel/rotor and all...

I like it. It's not for everyone, but for those who like the attention
it's one of the best mods around IMO. It's not for drag or road racing,
but if you use your 12 to pick up girls, BINGO. Common sense says
mod your bike for what you want it to do. For example a Sidewinder and 6" arm would not be a good mod at the Gap. The zx7 arm conversion would not be good at the drag strip. Neither would be my choice to cruise around town on the prowl. No i won't be the next one to order the kit.
because "I " like the strip.

P.s. $3500 just starts on the wish list for many of us.

There is one in Memphis with a big tire conversion. The guy did it himself. Not good for racing but it gets a lot of attention when he drives up! Bike looks really wicked from behind.
