My swingarm came in!!!
Hey Kids. Check out what came in this week. I'm going to paint it black before I throw it on the bike. I have to say that this thing is much better looking in person.
This is the 3" - 9" Coby Adams arm with the Pingel wheelie bar mounts welded onto it. This is what's on Chip's formula superbike.
I'm still trying to decide whether to polish it or paint it black.

Go black... you'll never go back.
I think polished looks weird without the frame to compliment it.
Black with the slider polished would look bitchen too.
Take that middle tab off too and sand the arm down. YOu can tap it off with a cold chisel pretty easily.
I like engine paint by Plasitcoat. No need to prime and it sticks great! Not even WD40 can penetrate when the paint is cured.

Thanks for the advice, TB. Plasticoat, huh? I'll look for it. But, I am keeping the spool tabs. I''m going to weld up a stand for use at the dragstrip.

I was talking about the middletab for the chain guard that sticks out into the inside of the arm.

Oh, that middle tab. Sorry, I gotta keep that. NHRA rules say that the chain guard must be mounted at three spots. I won't pass tech if I grind that one off.

$495 for the arm (plus the $250 refundable core charge.) The wheelie bar mounts I did myself. The brackets were $12 each from Pingel.

They're not 1/4". They look closer to 1/2". I haven't measured them though..
