Air shifter

I have an '02. And I was wandering if the bridge part of the swingarm, the part in front of the tire, could be used as an air tank. Would it hold enough air. What do you guys think.

I tried to have my stock arm pressurised ages ago but they told me there were to many holes inside the arm to weld up and they gave up.

It can be done with the entire arm, dont know about the bridge .
You would need to find a way to block it off from the arm tubes.
either would hold enough air for a pass.

By selinoid on the ram rod, are you saying the shift piston is mounted so that it actuates on the linkage, vs. the shift lever? Is it electric over air, and if so is the elec / air selinoid as close to the air ram as you can get it? Max leverage, and min. distance between the elec /air selinoid and ram are critical. Also, make sure you didn't put some sort of filter on the air outlet of the ram. Having a sportbike type kill that ties to the stick coil inputs from the CPU is the best way to get a consistant kill time. I've had trouble when using the common side of the coils. Just a few things to check.

I just had and 24" line and a 6" line made and will try that. Yes, the mount is made by Lee's performance. I got it from Schnitz. The shift piston is horizonal and I had the solenoid mounted onto the shift piston(no line in between) How much closer can I get then that. But I guess it was to close.

I have the same bracket, and mine shifts fine at 130psi. (LP air) I have the selinoid mounted under the tank on the top of the inner fender
