A little Truth about NHRA PSM
Truth, Integrity, Fair play, Level playing field, not a part of NHRA or V&H vocabulary. This sure did Open my Eyes, just like stinking Politics, allways Hustling somebody.

NNRA has ALWAYS asked Terry Vance for rules and advice on all things Pro Stock Motorcycle.
Here is a true statement...I called NHRA in 1987 and asked for the person in charge on PSM.
NHRA gave me VHR's phone number....I dialed it to make sure...the dude answered "Vance and Hines" I went click.
I called NHRA back and told the girl.."you gave me the wrong number"...she read it back to me.....
This is also 100% true and a fact....after I talked to Steve Gibbs, man in Charge in 1987, I called Terry and asked him if we could build and race a Yamaha FJ 1100.
And I swear on my Mothers grave, may GOD rest her soul, his words to me were, "You know George, I am going to ask Hiney about this and call you back...okay Bud?"
Terry was winning every race at the time....
He did call me back and told me these words....."Bryce, Hiney said you can build one, but if you start winning with it, we are going have to have you add weight and put a smaller motor in it."
I said thanks...
We had a new Kosman roller and engine going and Yamaha interested....I decided right then and right at that moment...if we are ever going to beat him...we would have to race exactly the same exact motorcycle...as VHR...AND WE DID....60 or 70 times...with the same bike...this is also true......as soon as they got the rules changed to suit ONLY them again....in 2009, 10, 11, 12. They were able to win at will...
Yes Hector, Karen, Matt, LE and others still won some...but it was almost always when Eddie or Andrew made a mistake...they never got outrun...just out raced...95% of the time in the last 4 years.
So, in 2013, with the rules more level and fair...it will be a better chance for others to win some again
Once again..do not say I am crying or whining, I am telling you things, that have been held secret for years.
This is not sour Grapes...this is just how it went and how it goes...and if you guys dont ever want to know the truth....just tell me to stop SHARING real information.
Remember, I was there. You only thought you knew what was happening....this is the truth as how the history of this whole deal has evolved.
Back in the day, NHRA needed TV and BH to lead, suggest, advise and help them stay interested in US...PSM.
But now....it time for NHRA to stop...TODAY calling Terry and Byron and asking them what to do with our class...now is the time.
We have a great advisory board...NHRA needs to use it, in the place of VHR....PERIOD!
P.S. for those of you that scolled me for telling you this on the forums...just dont get it...if and when YOU tell NHRA and others...you want this right...only then do they listen.
I came on this forum and thanked all of you for making NHRA aware that the unfair practices were out in the public..magazines wrote stories about it...BIG sponsors called NHRA and complained because of US..you and me..on Yellow Bullet!!! Thank you....I have told NHRA ALL of this...this is NOT news to them....

NHRA PSM is a fuckin joke. They have always bent the rules so that the boat anchors can beat the 4 cyl motors. Run them straight up same CC limitations and even and see who loses the race. Fuckin Harleys will lose every time.
I have no respect for NHRA , fuck them and all the asslickers associated with them.I will never go to a NHRA race again in my life nor will I ever give them a dollar of my money.

i can remeber before Harley started sponsoring the events that a harley most times could not even make it into the field.

i agree, level the playing field, noone likes a cheater
either limit the motors to 1800 cc's or make them unlimited cc's
one or the other, oh ya gasoline only!

Well we`ll see what the new rules do next year to the Hardleys...I wonder if they`ll have another secret poolside meeting with VHR/NHRA and H.D....Hash out some lopsided rules...

it boils down to legal cheating
if the motors were even size, harley and buell would not be there
its ironic that there would be bigger motors allowed to run the same class
that might as well start bracket racing prostock bikes, or go back to everyone using the same size motors, or say the hell with it and make it an open class unlimited gasoline engine
comeon NHRA don't be such political cheaters
