Something kind of cool... (4 wheel)
If you are into watching the car auctions, there is a 1974 Can Am race car being auctioned at The Mecum Auction tomorrow (Sat Aug 18) from Monterey CA. It will be in the afternoon probably on Velocity or maybe Speed and re-run a lot. The car is a 750 hp 1974 DN-4 and is one of the cars that I built the engines for. Heck, I probably built the one in that car. I was there today and met with my old boss, Don Nichols, who owned Shadow Racing. He's 87, really sharp, and believe it or not, was actually glad to see me. If you dig these cars, that were some of the most impressive race cars ever built, catch it now or in the endless re-runs. There are several in the auction, a Porsche 917K (1200hp turbo) a couple McLarens, all very cool.

The 917 sold for 5.5 MILLION $. The Shadow and a McLaren went for $350,000 each. A 1963 Z06 Corvette Coupe once owned by Mickey Thompson went for $450,000

Also at Mecum were 71 MV Augustas, all from one collection, one of every MV model ever produced.
they were sold as one group for $800,000
