Air compressor (for air shifter) info needed
Hey all. Have a question... I installed a slime air compressor for filling my air bottle for air shifter. Well I used the permanant barb off the compressor to connect the line to the bottle. Started pump, it filled to about 140 psi and "POP" air line blew about an inch off the barb of the compressor. This happened twice, once with thick rubber hose and once with poly line (air shifter line). Is this because the barb is coming to such a small exit hole that it is blowing a hole in the line? How are you connecting this line from compressor to bottle?
Did you use the threaded hole where the gauge was hooked up to or did you cut down the barb and use it? If you can thread a push/pull fitting into the gauge hole (because its threaded) of the compressor, how did you seal off the barb?

Yes thats true, I can get away with 120 psi or more. Comp. is a cheapo Slime (brand) compressor, I think rated at 250-300 psi.
