MIR Meet July 21 & 22
Rained ALL Day long on Saturday and teased everyone! it would stop just long enough for them to dry the track and then the few drops would return. I saw Pete there and even a few SOuth Africans! Pierre and Maurice. They know what we are up to!
Sunday was Soo hot that you "Almost" missed the coolness of Saturday! The Stunt Bike riders were doing their thing all day long Saturday and was the Only entertainment around.
Sunday saw some bike go 4.03 (I really got excited when I was hearing the times they were going to run and wondered how in a few years they had dropped a full second and then saw that they were only going 1/8 Mile!
WHo says Lightening cannot strike twice! This one guy on a long Black bike wheelied Mid track and the bike came down crossed up and at one time he was actually laying on the right side of the bike and you KNEW it was going to be bad and FORCED yourself to continue watching! Somehow he saved it and when I looked at the guy next to me he said (in a matter of fact tone) " He did the exact same thing yesterday and some how he saved it!")
They had a HUGE part of the paved parking lot roped off for the street bike parking! Not 1 bike was in there in Saturday! Sunday, the entire lot was filled! Last, doesn't anyone tell the women that if you weigh 250 and about 5'2" that wearing a set of SHort Red Pants is NOT your thing??
