TxShootOut 03-31-2003
We had a good outoing in general. I was having a few problems with my airshifter but I got them worked out by Sunday morning and all was well. I had a great qualify pass and then won my first round and on the second round I broke out. Dialed a 10.05 and ran a 10.033. Close but no cigar!
I also have a few MPEGs one of me and one of Charles (Kawachan) if you want to take a look. If you are on dial up I would not recommend it unless yo have plenty of time to wait on the download.

Thanks for the Video..
2 things that will help your riding style; #1 Raise your elbows at the start and put your feet further back. #2 Slid the clutch more on the start, your spinning the tire means you need clutch control.
Other than that the runs look good.
P.S. Taking the can off is good for 2ths I found this out this weekend..

Yes Mike the map did help. And the tire was awesome! I knew I could have gotten into the 9's if I really wanted to but seeing that it was bracket racing I was just trying to be consistant. I do plan to put the full muzzy system on as soon as I find a good deal on one. I also want to remove the KLEEN air system that is still on the bike. Play with the map a little more and the one run I really spun bad but I will get used to the entire new set up very soon.

I dialed in a 9.65 on my busa. Went a 9.68 first round and made it, then I got out of the groove and when I leaned my tire spun bad, ran 9.97 on the 9.65 dial. That was it for me. The air was SOOOOO good down there, it was hard to keep the bike down! My busa went 119.3 in the 1/8th on one pass...PIPE ONLY! Thats some mph for a busa.....

Joey is going to the doctor today. Supposed to find out if they can go ahead with the surgery. He sure hopes so. Kinda bummed that now that his bikes will be ready to run, HE won't be able to ride them. Hope it goes good for Joey today so he can start the healing process and catch a TXSO or two......
MM, you have mail.

I set a new appt. w/another specialist, went to the hospital this morning for my 8am appointment and there were 50 other people waiting,it looked like the "no insurance"line if that explains anything to you guys.So we left and set up a new app for a sports medicine private orthopedic surgeon. The hospital put me in a temp. splint that doesn't fit right,I am up to 2 hydrocodone pills every 2 hours just to deal w/the pain in my arm, hand, wrist.Hopefully it won't be a big deal for the new guy to get the x-rays/records from the hospital.I just want to get it fixed, and fixed right, the new app. is for wednsday, MY CELL:972-365-4603,and if anyone can help me w/some blackbird parts so I can fix her up,let me know,by the way,my 12 is ready.DJ,your right on the 9 sec territory,a little more teeth on the back will help you.
