Wanted to thank those who copied/paste my SH.org posts on here. This site is a PITA for cell phone navigation so I never was able to update here.
Karl still has his humor... taken from the website
The nurse asked him "is there anything else you need" and he wrote down "Budweiser".

Thanks Charlie for sending me the link, I figured I'd post it when you didn't. I knew something must have been giving you problems or you would have already done it.
I truly appreciate you keeping us in the loop.

Karl's daughter posted a site in which she stated that she will post daily updates on his condition.
I was not sure if anyone had linked it over here.
And now I see it was posted

a tip Karl gave me once, when building a motor from the ground up, put the pistons in the block, then put the block on the upper case, tq caps, and install lower case. NOT the conventional way of putting the cases together first then struggling to get the block down over the pistons. sooo much easier. i just finished doing this, which reminded me of Karl
thanks big guy, get well soon.

Talked to Karl today and he is in really great spirits. Everyone is amazed at how fast he is healing. Tonight or tomorrow he will make a three hour trip by ambulance to a physical therapy center near his home in Houston. Much easier for his family and friends to visit.. He chuckled at my joke when I asked who had more titanium in them Karl or his engine. lol. Thanks everyone for your prayers and support, keep it coming, it is working. LSL

Karl just called, man it was GREAT hearing his voice. Like LSL said, Karl was in great spirits & very upbeat. His mind was as sharp as ever, some question there ;-) as he was going over dates and events.
He was very touched and appreciative of everyone here who has posted and remembered him in their thoughts & prayers.
He said they may make the trip to Houston tomorrow, Friday at the latest. He's sleeping better and the rest is helping him heal that much quicker. He's got a wonderful family and all of you friends so he's happy.

The Lord is Merciful and knows our limits! This is the first time I have been here for a while and had a VERY Strong feeling to look here. So I read everything all at once so I could handle it all at once now that we know that Karl will survive this! For my thought , Imagine falling at 80 mph which I have done and then imagine falling off at 150 which I also have done BUT then add the 2 together and fall off at 230 which I have never even Imagined doing and we have what Karl just went through.
He is a VERY SPecial person and I am glad the Lord decided not to let this Good Person die young! I think he saw that he was Beloved by so many people that the heart ache would just have been to great! Dan when you talk to him next let him know that right now, at least there is one person that he does not need to worry about because that person is now riding a "Tomos Moped Street Mate R back & forth to work and at best it will not do over 50 MPH So I am safe (When my cousin saw the Bike he said, it would look like a "Motorized Thong" with me on it! SO if he can handle a little humor please tell him!
RIght now I will stop writing to "Thank the Lord" that Karl is still here and will recover!
