duster is down for the season with cracked block

at cecil i had my first track oildown by me.
at numidia i was told i was leaking oil so i changed the valvecover gasket. guess i was wrong. saturday at cecil first pass was a 10.27@131.74 with a 1.55 stumble.
next pass i came out at 3000 to get past the small pump cam i put on to try and got a 1.48 60ft. well i oiled the track that pass just after the 1/8 mile.
i cracked the block at a freeze out plug. i wish i would of filled the block with block filler halfway on this one like the last one.
i am glad i did not pull the engine to fix the real leak of the oilpan. cause when the blocks water jacket went through and filled the pan it came out there big time and let me know.
i may be able to reuse the rotating assembly with no issues.
now for a race block or engine filler in my spare block.
sucky end. now to play with the bike now.

jeeze. my story is i am happy with low 10s. there is a door ar 10.00 that is closed and expencive to open. i actually do not need more power for what i have. but the dam block thing is go stock again and risk it or a expencive raceblock and prep on a engine i have 5500 into it and now a season later it needs a block for my internals.
please tell me what you need for the block though cause i still need one and what bore though i am guessing that is not a big deal.
and the heads though i will say i have indy cnc 440-1s that go 375cfm already i am not using. (got from jake zaring for pulling truck)

thanks

thanks jim.
i have one but the pistons are stuck.
till i get them out i am not sure what it will look like in the bores.
someway i will end up with a block and if stock it is getting the waterjackets filled
halfway this time.

no one can tell you the life story of a engine block. Y2K can back that up i bet. so maybe core shift when it was cast. who knows.
the responce is it should of not broke like that. well duh i am thinking that also but it is the truth. some are running 10.0s on a stock block others like me brake one running slower.
i have dibs on a block from the late 70s that is a heaver casting. i am also putting a stud girttle on it and filling the water jacket halfway with block filler to stiffen the block up.
440source.com is a great place to deal with.
