Gary,
I don't know if you were joking or not, but IMO that's actually a VERY good idea.

Ryan has a ton of odds n' ends to do to keep the show running smoothly.

Having Gary, who knows the event as well as anyone on site, as his assistant could take alot of stress off Ryan.
