The turbo goes for a quick dyno checkup this afternoon. If all goes well, I hope to have around 400hp on tap. If things go horribly wrong, I'll bring the nitrous bike. Counting the days.

How's the weather looking, Karl?

Things went OK at the dyno, just a few things to check over, and I should be good to go.

Wish I was joining you guys, I truly enjoyed the Texas hospitality back at the March meet.

Best of luck at the new venue. Look forward to hearing from you guys as soon as possible with the results.

Here's wishing you sunny skies and the wind at your back!

Ride safe,
Dan

we'd love to see you back Ali.

This weekend we'll do the first event at the new track in Beeville, only 20miles from Goliad.
Reportedly it has a longer shut down

i've never run the Mile with a headwind/quartering headwind so strong it shook the bike at the starting line. YIKES!!!!

Fri am ran 211.5 into a 14mph headwind, then parked it for the day as the wind increased.

Sat ran a 208.9 into a 18-20mph L quartering headwind, then parked it.

Sun threw more fuel at it and ran a 209.8 into 18-20 L quartering headwind, then parked it.

Worst wind yet at the Texas Mile, but it was steady and didn't feel unsafe in early am.
Later on in ea day it picked up to 20-26mph.
Lots of bikes ran all day but i ain't got the balls for it and anyway, it seems i have a strong motor for Loring. Only 6 weeks till maine!!!!

Dean Sabatinelli ran a bunch of 226's, a 227 on his turbo Zx10. I can't believe the wind he was running in. That thing has 240 in it for sure.

Tom Gates ran a 244 (meet record) on his beautifully prepared turbo Busa. Had a strange AF issue

Greg H had a variety of oil leak & starter issues on his "finally out of the shop" big block NA Busa.

Doug S was driving thru the clutch on his newly out of the shop turbo 14.

Mike H lost a rod big end, punched a hole in the cases under the TB's, severed the fuel line and caught fire at the big end of the track.
Thank god he was wearing his pink nomex thong from Summit, the kids survived.

GREAT weekend even if i only had 3 clean passes.
