ZX1257 update
Preliminary report on the Thailand based Ace Performance 2 mil ZX12.
The fuel mapping is close, not perfect yet, but all I can say is that this thing either wants to rip your arms off, come over backwards or literally rip the rear tire off or all three at the same time Impressive to say the least. Almost to much for a stock wheelbase bike, but then again, to much is never enough
I am going to do a legitamate mile run here in the next day or two and will post results.

If you get one of these motors, you'd better have a decent steering damper as this thing want to come up in 4th

Congrat.`s to you on your killer 1257cc ZX.. build......Yes I`m sure it`s a handful with the stock WB bike.....
Can I ask how you are doing your mapping??? I have an ace perf. 1287cc motor I just got back a few weeks ago....
Good luck with your motor and have fun with it.....

I have a decent base map that I used on the stock motor and I'm using a LM-1 datalogger to tune it from there. Sal can also give you some idea of what it needs also.
If your bike is setup for dragrace, you probly won't see any tendency for headshake, but on a bike setup for the twisties it is a bit of an issue without a damper.
I got the Corbin seat on the bike, looks good. I'll be posting some pics soon.

Ya Sal left his data logging wires hooked up to my harness just in case I get a logger.....Which he suggested I get.....I think I need quite a bit of logging done.....I`m close enough to not hurt anything but no where near to peak perf.
Well my 12 is 12" over and hasn`t wanted to come up on me YET and has been rock solid in the wobble dept.....But it has happened to me on other bikes and I DO NOT LIKE IT....

You really don't need a damper, until the instant that you do. Without one, you'll eventually find that moment. With it, you'll never know you were there.

I have found that moment many times...every bike I have gets fitted with a damper. Especially on a short bike, strapped down, at the dragstrip...easy to get crossed up. Or cresting hills under power will do it for ya in heartbeat too...

Sometimes, you find the point where you need 2 dampers... or more suspension tuning Not so fun.

I think they require 3 at Maxton? Bumps, bumps, and more bumps...and a dip...then a high speed right! Of course, the faster you go...the smoother it seems..usually.
