How to remove ZX12 alternator rotor?

Can't seem to get the alternator rotor off the crank with a standard puller (crank is out of the motor). Any suggestions?
Thanks

Karl - I have thought about heating the rotor to ease this off. It should not take a lot of force to pull this off.

Why not just buy the puller from Kawasaki?
Or stop buy your local dealership and ask them to pull it with their puller. Bring a six pack for the guy.

Be careful using a puller pulling it from the outside, the flywheel can be bent quite easily.

Just gotta be careful about heat, magnets don't much like it.

In my experience it takes a shitload of force to get it off.
I ruined a Kaw puller once...

use the right puller, doesn't have to be KAW, make sure you get as full thread engagement on the tool, then use a breaker bar

If it is 00 or 01 with external threads you need the puller tool. I have one just like this I dont need and will sell to you cheap.

If it is 02 or newer with internal threads you can do it with a bolt. I used an oil drain plug from napa. I think it was M20-1.5
