NY show

Man o man is that place crowded. Try and take a picture and a body mysteriously appears. So my search for what brought everyone to the Jacob Javitts center in New York city seemed to have been a certain custom bike.

After ooing and aahing this fine piece of art I needed to make big mamma get in the mood.

big dreams sitting on this toy

What really looked more doable was this Victory done up properly

I tried out a lot of bikes, mostly cruisers and tourers for my next street bike but am still all over the place for what I like.Maybe

maybe

in any case, thanks Bikeland for the tickets. Me and big mamma enjoyed the day in the city.

Jaime and I were there Fri until about 6 then we went over to Time Square for dinner.

Pete, did you get any of the Beef Jerky they were selling?

I'm sure you saw the new ZX-10 naked hanging in the glass box? For me that was the best thing to look at in the whole show, well except for this one representative for some company selling something... don't even know what it was she was selling.

Some things I noticed about the new zx10.

Uneven length stacks
They moved the cam chain tensioner to the block
the oil filter is the lowest part of the pan
the oil pan parting line is angled
its a two piece crankcase and block (still not 3)
the primary header tubes are large stepped Ti 1.375 to 1.5" (looks like)

I'll post some pics.... some of them didnt come out because the flash glared it all out.

Pete, thanks for the pix, excellent!

Jim, i am lovin' it that Kawasaki is stepping up to the plate against the BMW. It would be uber-cool if suzuki would do the same.
Too damn bad that most TFA members are too damn big for a BMW or a Kaw 1000 :-(

Pete, off topic, are you going to make it up to Loring again? Go to J+J's lobster fest?

I didn't get a picture of the naked zx10 as I wasn't too interested in it. When I sat on it, I felt like I was getting a charlie horse. I also thought I would lose a few front teeth every time it lifted on me. See why? I asked them at the Kawasaki area if they had the total recall bike on display. They saw the humor in it too.

Karl, I am not sure about Loring as it is too far out and I haven't made plans. If the mods want to move this to another forum more appropriately for it that is fine. I did want to give back a little for receiving free tickets.
