Carbon fiber wheels
I have question about carbon fiber wheels and what to expect from them. for example my bike goes 8.80's with stock wheels(zx-14) how much will BST wheels shave off my times?

I have them and I wouldn't expect more than .10, if that, based on what the bike ran with stock wheels.
I have not done back-to-back tests though, so ymmv.

When I went to carbon the 12R was more wheelie prone.

if anything put one on the rear but then the tire slip on the rim on a launch may be a issue.

If you are good and consistent, they will pick you up at least a tenth......
tire slip on the rim......? I have always turned the rim in the tire, no matter what wheel i was running......, if you launch hard, and know how to make it hook, it happens.

BST rims are very prone to having the wheel spin in the rim. In fact, the wider rims (6.25" and up) come treated to help prevent this. I have spun the tire at least 180 degrees in a day...on mid 1.4's, and 18-22 psi. This is a well-known issue with these rims.
I was even talking with an FBG guy, and he was commenting on how the bead does not lock tightly on the BST's.
I own the rims, and I am pretty consistent. I don't feel they are worth .10 with no other changes. Now, with some setup changes, they will help, and you might see that .10. The rims are just one piece of the puzzle, though.
All that being said, I love the rims.

I didn't have any problems with them on the street....even landed a big 170 mph wheelie going over a hill.
If you can afford em, get em. They don't translate to the best bang for the buck in a straight line contest but it does help. Good in the roll-ons too.
