13.3 @ 100 mph.....
On the Ninja 250 today ... had to clean out the carbs at the track...fuN!!!!
1st pass was 14.2 @ 95 or something. Spraying early and the bike had fits shifting with the quickshifter and nitrous.
Then went 13.6 once I got a feel for launching this thing
Ended up launching the bike near redline, crazy but fun.
Had problems spraying and quickshifting....needed to mess with the kill time. When I sprayed I had to shift twice for each shift to be successful. Ran better when I sprayed later on.
Ran my buddy Milton on his Production Stage 1 Ninja 500...we were close in the mid 13s at the same time but I went 13.3 later. He had me hop on it
1st 2 runs were 13.0s....hard to launch with the lightweight flywheel kept bogging.
Last pass of the day I went 12.67 @ 107.5. It definately had more in it but stock height and wheelbase it kept wanting to bog hard or wheelie....definately needed more finesse than the 250 IMO...but thats mainly setup.
No REALLY GOOD 60s between us but each of us went our personal best. I've never drag raced the nina 250 or his 500 before.
His buddy had a Valkerie 1800 6 cylinder Honda that went 13.3 too....never ran him heads up though cuz I was busy cleaning carbs...

Great to see you playing with the 250. I built an '87 that Belen Wagner ran in 250 Prod on The Salt. It went 120 something....

That name rings a bell from Bonneville, I think she was there when I ran back in 06.

She's been there and is there every year since '85 or so. Hoards of records in the small two stroke classes. Her dad, Wiltz Wagner, builds the bikes. She may have the greatest number of records of anyone. I think her and Guthrie were going back and forth on that stat. I think she was about 15 when she first ran the salt.

Its a really small shot, I plan on redynoing it soon to see what it actually puts out with the bottle psi and fuel I was running out there.

i was thinking GOD love kawasaki if that little engine can handle 80 odd hp and not vent its self. i bet it would not be hard to 100% it with the 30 hp pills.

I'm heading back out this weekend, should be fun. Doubt I'll go 12s but knock off a tenth or 2 and I'll be a happy camper. As long as the quick shifter cooperates with the nitrous I'm good. Last weekend it didn't like the spray in the lower gears.
