I am having a CNC machine shop make some 46 MM throttle blades for the ZX-14. Does anyone else want or need any ?

yeah , I should have the first samples to look at on friday. I am having a .030 and .036 thicknesses to figure out how thin I can go ...

do you have any preference on thickness ? next size up is .048 .... stock brass is .060

this would be for some one who wanted to bore the stock 44 mm throttle bodies out to 46 ot 47 mm...

that helps out if you have a ported head. I did not see any gain on a stock head.

I Have read latley stainless being stronger is less likley to bend.Bent blades are generally caused by a lean induced back fire. Typically this is seen alot on turbo bikes with secondary injectors and nitrous applications. Also larger throttle plates can flutter as high speeds disrupting air flow.

i have heard of some jokers NOT running a BOV with high-boost set ups too.. at which i honestly laugh at. but some guy who was a "professional bike builder" ( cough*bullshit*cough) told me his 500-some-odd horse turblow busa bent the plates and shafts on a dyno run, but still didn't feel the need to run a BOV.. so, i can see where they can get bent from either direction. boost applied from the turbo, or pressure applied from a backfire.

in that case tho i'd think any bike has a potential bend problem that DOES backfire then?
