I ran a Pro ET sportster one time. Stock 1200 engine, wheelie bars with 2-step, delay box, etc. Think I ran like 11.80's. This was when I was waiting to get my ZX-14 in 2006, friend had 2 bikes so he let me race the sportster so I could still get some points. Was fun....different....but fun.

Todd (NARider) used to race his 76 XL. I don't recall his ET but he was able to nail a couple perfect reaction times. Even took home a trophy for it while racing the metric bikes! hehe I'll see if he'll jump in here & post.
Looking for a change of pace?

my brother runs his wifes 883 sporty with 1200 kit and some other work. for him runs in the 12.30s at 106mph as it is no bars no strap.i think on my second pass i got around a 12.6 at 105 mph. it is different. almost relaxing except for shifting just before 7000 instead of much higher.

Nice Pat...
I made 3 passes on a V-rod with Vance & Hines pipes...
11.80 @ 112...11.77 @ 112...11.60 @ 114...Foot shifting...
Buell xb12 a few of us had a little grudge to see who can get the best ET & we all ran 10.80s except for Norm Jackson goin 10.68...Yep, we all foot shifting...
Ran a XR1200 all stock as from showroom floor...11.88, foot shifting...Im remembering the mph to be 109-110
also a FatBoy with motor work 11.80, foot shifting...mph was 113-114
all the Harleys I rode were street bikes, like Pat said it was fun because of the challenge...

I built a 96" Evo engine from S+S parts and put it in a Paughco hardtail frame and ran a
best of 10.33 at 132 mph. It had a Super D carb, Red Shift cam w/ 654 lift and 262 duration
13.5 : 1 pistons, 2 step, air shifter and bars on a 5.5 inch slick. I had to use a car battery
to start it. It was for drag racing only, had a lot of fun and learned a lot in the process.
Also had a 3" open belt drive and RC Comp wheels. I dumped a bunch of money into that
bike. I do miss the sound of a high compression V-twin but not the expenditure.

i ran a 74" shovel w/ a 4 sp. super glide trans in a lay down chassis.
stock motor had s&s side float, solid adapters for the hyd. lifters
and drag pipes. 6" m+h slick on a 15" car rim.
best air shifted pass was 12.1 @ 106mph in the 1/4.
all et racing that got a couple 1st place trophies on wed. nites.
