Scott you could either get a Mac, or adapt a 14 arm. The spacing on the arms looks to be practically identical. The big difference is that the 12R uses a larger pivot. That means you could get a 14 arm to fit with just some machined collars/bushings, most likely.

I only mention that option because you can pick up a used 14 arm for around 1/2 the cost of a new Mac arm.

Mine is a Mac

I love it. VERY high quaily.

VERY light, but, there are drawbacks....., better have a good chassis, you are taking weight off the rear tire........

The lightness of the chromoly arm is overrated, imo. My stock, braced 65" 14 arm weighed the same as my 68" unbraced Adams chromoly arm. Meaning that at equal length, and unbraced, they would be about the same.

People act like the chromoly arms are light as a feather...they really aren't. Maybe compared to some aftermarket arms...but in general, they aren't that light. I weigh my parts, to cut through the myths.

I lost almost 10 lbs, and almost 15, losing the high pressure shifter system.

I weigh my parts too.

When every amount matters to you, they are worth it.

Also, they are TONS thinner, so you can run long wb, without eating the arm up. When your chassis is real low, you lose wb, thats why the 60 inch bikes, run a 6 over arm, mid way.......

and why pro street arms are so long.........

Depends on what you are doing, and how serious you want to be.

10 lbs. compared to WHAT?

My 65" braced stock arms weighs 14.5 lbs...as did my 68" non-braced Adams chromoly arm.

A stock 12R arm is 2lbs. heavier than a stock 14 arm.

Whatever you say....you think that 3" on a stock arm will add 10 lbs? Especially if you drop the bracing?

Like I say, the chromoly arms just aren't as light as most people pretend. The issue is that some aftermarket aluminum arms are heavy as shit.

At that length I would not even consider a stock arm, based on what Terry told me. It was probably so heavy because it was solid billet aluminum for a very long stretch.
