The Zx14 2X2 motor went 202.5611 MPH with owner on it he said he is not tucking properly and still tuning it in as I have sent him 5 different fuel maps to his email for him to try and give me feedback and go faster.
Now thats customer support !
((Temperature for today was 91*)) THIS IS ON PUMP GAS !!!
Last time at the races he went in the morning 191 MPH and as the day progressed kept going slower due to winds picking up and was going 188 mph then asked me to take it for a pass without riding the bike for months just getting off dales bike I jumped on Customers bike on my 1 and only pass I went 196 MPH right after he made the 188 MPH passes
So I would have NO problem running this bike 210 MPH plus.
Bike is full weight not slammed 44 MM TB's
He is doing a very very good job and I am proud of him I can not ask for more

Sprayed it. I believe 121.x was his best speed of the meet. Might have hurt the motor but may be back to Maxton as early as October 2010.

Congrats Roy, WTG, sorry I missed the hat ceremony. You're racking up the hats these days
Eddie Powell also got in the ECTA 2-club with a turbo Busa SIDECAR - no small task. Big balls.
Eric toasted plugs (at least) but was still happy with 121. Jarl Walthe (sp) also sprayed for the first time, and went 125 on his single cylinder altered 250.
Todd Dross secured the 2010 ECTA points championship for SGR with a 169 pass on the NA Busa sidecar. WTFG.
Josh Owen went 212 on Debbie Dross' stock motor nitrous bike, faster than the bike has ever been at Maxton.
Debbie ran 117 on a new Triumph standard (1200?) faster than the bike has ever been.
Don Haas went 235 on his beautiful GSXR1000, the fastest 1000 on the mile, anywhere, huge congrats.
We struggled a little with chassis issues with the naked Guthrie H2 Busa, but made a lot of passes between 225 and 235, with a best of 239. I had a great time, looking forward to trying again with a few changes and cooler weather next month.

Dean, you rocked... as did so many others.
But in the end, you left the track with the top speed of the meet on a naked bike you've only ever ridden at one other meet, and never at this track.
What an honor for the Twin Jugs Racing Crew and a benefit for Scott Guthrie Racing to see you at work and leave with 7 records out of 12 runs! We'll see if you can race it instead of just test it on you next outing. :-)
Don Hass's 235 run was absolutley beautiful, as was his bike and girlfriend to say the least! What a great guy Don is and has been over the years.
Eddie Powell on his turbo sidcar was awesome to say the least... the first 200mph sidecar on pavement if I'm not mistaken, certainly the first one at Maxton.
Roy's "hat run" on a bike that he's put countless hours of his thoughts and work (no matter what the appearance shows) in deep enough to brush off the ridicule and even slander at times from many of his frineds and competitors while never really diverting from his own (sometimes off the wall) thoughts... another testament to something many of us will never understand exactly what.. possibly Kawasaki's ability to make something live no matter what you do to it? Just kidding Roy, awesome perseverance with results you can stand proud of..... welcome to the club for sure, was real cool to have your kid there for the occasion too!
Ransom Holbrook... who went from running 196 on his lightly built Production Hayabusa one meet to adding a pipe and n2o and a better motor tune... resulting in running 215mph on spray and 205mph on motor taking both class winnings from Throttle Nation (as well as a cheeseburger bet that Deb lost to him - lol).
Phil Cambell upped his and his Dave owen built and tuned turbo Hayabusa best speeds to 226mph.. he still hasn't touched the plugs, tune or possibly even the air on the tires since Dave last layed hands on it... what a testament and honor to witness such trust and dedication to a friendship.
And Josh, well he's ridng Deb's bike hard enough that we may just have to pull that valve cover after all it if he keeps up this maxing it out everytime he rides. Lots of runs, miles and spray through that motor over the last 2-1/2+ years.

Quick update, I found out when I got the run logs after the meet that I actually ran 119 on shutdown volunteer worker Ken Presson's 865cc Triumph Bonneville cruiser. (They announced it as 109!) Fun bike to ride! I'll have to try for 120 next time!
Great job to Roy, Eddie, Don, Dean, Todd, Josh, Ransom...!
We had a great time as always!

Oh yes, and my sweetheart how could i forget....
That Triumph was suposed to go 115mph if everything went perfect and the wind was behind you, the 119 run (announced by someone other then Joe) sounded way faster then the 109 it was portrayed as, especially siince you did as planned that tun and rang it's neck like a turkey in november... awesome job getting those runs in and still keeping everyone elses paperwork and safety in order. Not to mention all the inspecting you and Josh both did this meet... Over 10 years of essentially the same thing now and yet it still gets better every meet we are there together, Josh has sure added a great value to our team in many ways, and racing with people like Wayne, Shane and Dean and the speeds they obtain sure have kept us on our toes. As Karl said... I LOVE reading this stuff too, especilly the care and comeraderie of each other's successes and downfalls no matter what the speeds or goals are.
Great job darlin, you have proved ot be a racer of racers by your willingness to run any bike that's deemed safe no matter it's potential, and at the same time willing to give up riding meet after meet for many years to help your fellow racer's achieve their goals.... that's a real TEAM PLAYER!

Ali,
Josh was running APS this event. Josh's 212.9 is now my bike's fastest speed in the mile and he also ran it's fastest speed in Loring at 228. If he keeps this up I might have to open that engine after all! He's done real well with minimal HP. Makes me wonder where we'd get with some actual motor work!
Missed seeing you, maybe next time?
Debbie

Took off work already for the October meet so I should be at Maxton if all goes well. 212.9 is definately moving, Josh ain't tiny. I was hoping for something between 210-215 with bodywork, hopefully I'll get a chance to run it in the standing mile....if not Maxton then I'll have to wait for Miami in the winter. One day at a time and if I'm not bringing help then probably one bike at a time too.
