starter rotation
I pulled my starter off to change to a longer cable for the 24v system. While it was off, I disassembled it to make sure every thing was good. When I reinstalled the starter and tried it, it spun great but never engaged. I'm wondering if when I took it apart, I did something to change the rotation. What would cause it to not engage?

I pulled the starter out and reinstalled it and it worked. I don't know why the first time it didn't catch. I was shocked that the book showed starter removal without coolant hose removal. I don't think it is possible to change polarity on the starter with only 1 wire going to it. I now have 24 volts wired for it and that has solved the problem.
