chav do not bother nox. we will get it. paul it is lifting on top not in the beginning. the arms are throwing it up when they start clamping. but i added shim and last pass was a 1.59 60ft and one throttle pump to keep the front down. i am close. i agree on the swing arm and lower to the ground.every time i get closer.

I have a polished billet straight link with custom made adjustable bone to go with it when you are ready to do some chassis setup work......

burned up steel. now going to all 2.0. i have themn anyway. mt hub looks beat also. think on getting a new one.the steels have indents in the grouves. i know on the dirt bikes that made for a grabby clutch.

Only reason you need to use the 2.0s ,is if the stack height needs adjusted. They offer no performance gain, unless you are stupid abusive to the clutch for some reason.

well nox. being sort of tall and still a street bike and twards 10,000 rpms on the spike i am betting i am abusive to the clutch. me hand clutching it the steals lasted a long time. but the fact i got a 1.60 60ft and a 4.13 330 gives me hope i am going in the correct direction. if all continues to go the way it is so far i will be in the low 4.0s in the 330 and happy.a high 3.9xx would be ok with me but i am not setting my mark that high as of now.a 3.9xx usually takes a hell of a run in very good air. this simple slider may not be able to gain in the 330 like i am hoping for. it is fun watching everything work and others watching. the eairly wheelies i do not want but seems to happen make for a good show. after all after 15 years of this i can make a O shit wheelie look smooth and not loose much time since i leave with left foot on the peg ready for a O shit shift eairly into second to drop the front. the shinko hook up is a great tire i am thinking. looks like hardly any wear and i have to have 40 passes on it now.

It does not matter. My buddy tosses it at 7000 at 62 inches.

Depends on how you have it set up.

It can be set to leave at idle if you want.......

i got rid of it higher and lower but not with the short stiff springs i have now. tossing it lower seemed to give me more drive out.
but i am a person of habbit and like last friday night i would do a wrist pump at the lockup
feel to stop the wheelie. good 60ft but slower 330. then wnen i tell my self i want to hold it down through it as long as i can i jerk the throttle anyway. ohwell.

The lock up has two purposes......

1. If you have TONS of hp, and need to lock the clutch in, and
2. Consistency. Which is why they are not legal in certain classes.........

3, IF you can tune it to be consistent, IE, pin the throttle, and never touch the lever or throttle until the run is over.

I think once you find the SWEET SPOT on either your rpm`s or the static you`ll be pretty dang close....Test, test, test till you find it......

yes nox that is why i wanted to keep it pinned as long as i could maybe even throw my self front like i did at 3 arms no bolts to get good data. but having a warped plate so bad i could not get it out for a while i am thinking i can not use the data i had lock up wise till next time. i did add more shim to get my spike down lower yet. i should be around 144lb total now.
i also drilled more oil holes where the plates were very dry.

I still oil my plates down a little in between pass`s , but not because I`m thrashing on my clutch but just to keep everything consistent. Just something I`ve been doing for years, all the way back to my 7. second KZ dragbike. I would even take them out in between run`s if I was at a big race.
Good move on the oil holes Dennis. When you making some more run`s???

sunday is the next test and tune with out driving 2 hours to go 75 miles to cecil md track friday night. i may take the bike to work and go to cecil county drag way but here of late they do not treat thier track fridays so i spin. may not go but want to.
the power race tire would not work there off the line. and i spun through 3rd and 4th gear through the end while the track had sun even. the only ones there are street cars fridays. every one went to maple grove where they spray the track.
my clutch hub is well used looking. i may get a new one. it would be intresting to get the muzzy hub for the extra money and see if all the plates are oiled or dry areas like mine has.
