Shifters
What is the best non airshifter on the market right now? I know that Pingle has an electric shifter and there are a couple others. I want something with the best consistent shifts and reliablility.I don't really want to fool with an airshifter and refilling it, etc. I want to see who is very happy with some of the other shifters out there that aren't airshifters.

I've installed an electric shifter from an outfit called Kliktronics for a friend who was horribly hurt in a construction accident. His left leg is practically useless. This thing was the shitz. There was some fabrication involved but with very little set up it worked flawlessly with both up and down shifts. You couldn't have bitch slapped the smile off of his face.

I used a Dale Walker electric shifter on my ZRX1200R with good results.....Raced it every weekend for 2 years and was my daily driver.....I always had on and used whenever I rode the bike.....I had it setup to where when I just barely lifted up on the shifter lever it killed the motor for a split second allowing for full throttle shifts with a clutch or blipping the throttle.....

Look at it this way, if the electric shifter was better........, then full on race bikes would use them.

I don`t think he has a full on race bike NOX.....Sometimes they are nice to have just to make it easier to shift for lots of riding and can save any missed shifts when racing too.....

Nox,my Pingle has yet to miss a shift in 7yrs.Most bike guys will never try anything new.Hence everyone sticking to air shifters.I wanted to keep mine simple. No co2 bottle,no air compressor,no air tank etc.

The disadvantage may be that they are a bit heavy. Note that I said "may" be. Also this one will both up and down shift

.the servo on dale walkers unit has way more torque to slam those gears......ANDTHE SUPPORT YOU GET FROM DALE IS SECOND TO NONE.if any part would fail he has replacements direct.you don`t have to go thru a distributor.
