Street bike shootout in sacramento ca!
We got the go ahead to do this at the track, so its time to get the word out....
We will be having a streetbike shootout at Sacramento Raceway during the next Grudgefest, 11 September. It will be a hundred dollar buy in, winner take all, everyone else kicks rocks. There is also a 275 radial/10.5 shootout the same night, we will be running after them. You may or may not get shakedowns, we will start when the car shootout starts. Gates open at 5, racing starts at 6, track admission is not a part of the buy in.
-heads up, pro tree, 1/4 mile, clocks off
-you break, red light, cross center, etc = DQ
-street tire, no wheelie bar
-functioning lights
We will draw names out of a hat in order to build the ladder. Lane choice will be determined by a coin toss for each race. The last name drawn will get the bye if necessary.
This is a run what you brung sort of deal, but we're basically looking for bikes that could run on the street. We obviously cant enforce a strict rulebook, so if you're not sure if your bike will fit in, contact me and we'll talk about it. If you show up with race body work, no cooling system, etc, you will not be able to participate; please use your head on this one. Anyone will be able to run at the track this night, but we have to make the shootout fair. I will take responsibility for being the bad guy if i have to.
Also, the track has asked that they hold the money while we do this to avoid any potential problems. This is a fair request, and we must agree in order to do this. All the money will still go to the winner.
