who has expirience with big spray?

13.7:1 CR
SS EX valves with bronze seats
bike runs on 91 octane(efi)
wet kit has its own fuel cell and pump/regulator which will have C16

so the bike will be getting a mix of 91 and 117 octane. if i play with fuel pressure and the jets i have, i can spray 80 hp or 100. i will be testing 80 first.

how would you tune either setup? Im leaning towards pulling a couple degrees from stock(total -7 from what its running NA) and running it 12:1 AFR on the 80hp setting

this is 1/4 mile only

@KZScott

which fogger nozzles do you use ?

which soleonids do you use ?

DON`T use the V-Notch fogger nozzles !!! they are BAD !!!! the first part of the V-Notch will crack -- if you have some backfire ! my buddy has a big problem ! 2 times blown engine - because the V-Notch crack´s --- grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

use the 2 hole or pro mod fogger´s ! ! !

they are the v notch, the original style. i havent seen any crack yet?

im using the small NOS solenoids

Im not "mixing" fuels, its setup this way so i dont have to drain any tanks between running NA or on spray. running NA the bike runs as normal on pump gas, when it runs on spray, the fuel on the wet side is c16 while the injectors keep on doing what they normally do on pump. basically i just have to flip a toggle swith to change from NA to spray, no map changes, no draining tanks and filling up with high octane ect

Hello KZScott!

We are shooting 130 shot with wet system. Still using the old Muzzys/Schnitz Stealth system.

We had a few season off and built up a new motor.

We run 2 deg retard from stanard and don't use a retard box at all.

We run very rich during the run at around 10.5 to 11.0.

We went out last weekend for a test and went 8.1 at 180. Best was 8.101 at 182.5mph...

Fair bit of clutch tuning to go yet but have a full track test day coming up on Wednesday this week. Hoping to go 7 now!!!

By the way, nice head job Mr Kilnack! 234 hp no gas.

for fuel, we are using the new VP NO2 fuel. It went 3 to 10hp higher through the range on the dyno with no gas over the C16......

It does not take alot of Nitrous to go low 8s. It can be done with a 30 or 40 shot

yah, right...

maybe on top of a VERY seriously built motor
or
maybe with a 110# rider on a bar bike
or
maybe on Planet X

Here on Planet Earth, 220hp(40 shot) ain't gonna get the average joe into low 8's

+1

Sorry Nick, for the vast majority a 30-40 shot might get you in the 8s, but not close to 7s.

I would agree that "the average joe" couldn't do it. I am pretty confident that my lightweight bike with a jockey could do it on 40. Then you're looking at a 585 lb. package. The again, some of these jockey's are running 8.50's on stock motors...no spray!

Me, on the other hand, probably 8.70 on the spray. Just a guess.

Shane

Look closely at the ZX10. No popping between gears and he is running a small shot.

im a pretty average joe. I went 8.50 169 mph. Stock motor with a 100 shot. im 220lbs unsuited. And only 60ft high 140s. low 8s id think youd need a grudge set-up . thats my next project.

These liter bikes are so light weight, high reving bikes that if you can get the right susp. setup,engine/cam package.,clutch program with a more than average rider they can go deep in the 8.`s....Look at what they were doing with the 600cc bikes way back, low ,low 9.`s...Clutch management, suspension setup and a rider.....And you guys are then adding Nitrous on top of everything....
