shinko hookup radial
i just put one on my bike. friday i get to run it if my parts come in from various places.
this tire looks like it will work well.
i killed the power race already. it did not work well at all on bad untreated tracks. it hooked like mad at maplegrove.
at cecil i was spining through 3rd and 4th all the way to the end.
can not wait till friday. anyone close enough come out(to maplegrove). it usually is not full and you get plenty of passes and they put out the carpet.(cecil stopped spraying the track on friday nights)
shane and ship i wish we were closer.

I like the looks of that! Much less crowned than a Roadrace tire.
Some Prostreet bikes (500+ hp) have had this tire come off the rim when using low inflation pressures (like 12 psi or less?). One tire came off at 170 mph (I think 8 psi on that one).
I doubt very seriously that you will have any issues, but you might want to mark the tire and rim to see if it is spinning on the rim.
I can't believe you couldn't hook with that Power Race...your bike is pretty short still! That's why I don't go to my local 1/8th track...no prep.

i only got one pass at cecil and it did not even feel like i left. though i do need someone to watch my tire with the new clutch setup.
i am sure i do not need to run low pressure. the old skool shinko worked for me at 22psi. this is flatter. i am going to start at 25 i think.
i need to drive to ups to pick up the muzzy box cause the bums require me to sign. now i drive 30 mi to get the parts (new Ti muffler skin and support bearing)
schnitz crap better get here this week.
for everyones info call muzzy to get muzzy parts. they are cheeper from them and you get them faster than paying a nother guy to get them for you.(SCHNITZ)

The guys that had them come off where running crazy low air pressure, and wide rims.......
My buddy runs one, and in a low hp app, I think its good, but, where his bike might strike the tire, mine wads up and does not, but it is in extreme conditions, but that is where the MT shines.

I always have good luck with them, but I always verify stock. Also, I think that they usually just call Muzzy's and have the items drop shipped. I usally get whatever I order within two days, but again, I verify stock.
I know what you are saying, "but they sponsor you". But, honestly, I have spent thousands with them over the years, and only this year did I ask them about sponsorship.

paul i have enough to go friday night. am taking two stiff springs to try incase the three stock springs are too stiff. i have the support bearing in now and when my new piece comes in my friend said we can make it out of tool steel he can heat treat it where he works
so i am good to go. make it heat it and then he may cryo freeze it for the heck of it. they cryo all their tooling and he says they last longer that way. i finally met someone who has expearence freezing parts and saying it is good or B.S.

Cool.....I had one made too and they heat treated it and it lasted a long long time.....No Cryo. but it was treated and it makes a difference.......It just costed a pretty penny to have one made from tool steel at a machine shop that never made one before....I bet if I go back it would be cheaper now.....
Good get a good 60` now......

On a Shinko 003 Ultra soft I ran as low as 17 psi but I`m not running no 200 mph either....22 psi should be a good starting point and then keep adding till it starts to spin then go down to where you pick up mph..... Lees press. more drag...You want to run as much press. as you can without spin for max. mph and less drag.....

that is what i say and try also. the power race was a 15psi tire and the old shinko was 23 psi. so i pick 22. may try 25.

I went 124 mph on 6 psi on a u soft.......
problem was, the u soft was not as consistent of a tire at marginal tracks.

I'm not sure on that? I had 11 dyno pulls, 500 street miles,150 passes and 50 miles of LSR on my last Power Race. I have been reading that these new Shinko's don't last long...Scott went through one in a day, if I recall....but I am sure he was cooking the tire up pretty good.
I'll be interested to see your results!
