Its going on the dyno today. it sounds good for whatever thats worth.

The accelerator pump feature in the dynojet powercommander really shines with these 50mm throttle bodies. It makes the throttle response and rate of rpm acceleration extremely snappy.

How about you Karl? What HP #'s did you get from the xxxxxx Call me.....

Well the engine made a little over 240 in the state of tune we left it at. We fattened it up .6 across the board and we are running the stock ignition advance which is about 6 degrees retarded from the best power we had. I had to take the timing back out due to head gasket concerns.

So its at a tad over 240 with breakin oil. The oil level was a little high as well. With the XP3 and a half a quart less oil it should make a few more hp.

Just to compare a completely stock zx14 made 162 on this dyno.

If I ship my motor to you on a crate, how much will this motor cost?

Awesome, Jim!!!!!

Consider that this motor is the initial salvo of development, lotsa stuff to tweak.
I predict that Jim's motor will make CONSIDERABLY more hp after he fools with cam CL's, fuel, and other stuff.

See you in Loring on Friday!!!!

Looks like the monster stroker busas have some competition now :-)

Is this a 1570 kit with stage 3 head ,cams & 50mm TB , or are there lightweight components also ( crankshaft , tranny , wheels , etc) ? Trying to figure out if I can upgrade my existing motor or if all new parts are needed.

Roy

I couldnt answer that right now.... call me after we get back in the shop the 2nd week of Aug.

Rickey Gadson will be riding it for us at loring and then at Atco later in August So we will see what it does in the 1/4 mile as well.
