Maybe we can start promoting now. Then next year should be better! For now we can enjoy the finale. This year has been a rough one for everyone. That why I have lower the prices. It will work out for everyone that wants to have some fun.

If your tnt guys are like the ones around Memphis/MS then they won't race in any class. They all just want to run their buddies and tell everyone how fast they are. Our tnt doesn't show times so there is no proof about how slow most are really running. Holly Springs has had some "free" street bike races paying 500.00 and we only had 14 bikes one weekend and 5 the other weekend. There were another 30 bikes running tnt.

no its the premadonna's and their starter kits and john force burn-outs and 20 minute stagings per pair ..that take too long ..
back to why people TNT and no race is simple ..they keep seeing the same guys win at the races sandbagger's shotting ducks.. so after a few entries they done throwing cash away .. . 2nd the classes are to fast for alot of these" true street bikes" that TNT . i'm not hating just stating what i see
and yeah i know i sux and i'm slow
and yeah a beginner class would be a good start .. but some non-beginner would enter just to beat slow guy's and gal's...

If the same guy is winning races it's because he gets out there and "races". You don't just get good watching the other guys run. Not sure what you mean by "sandbaggers" but most guys that are consistant et racing street bike run as close to all out as possible.

When I raced Street ET in SEMDRA, I would dial a couple hundredths under my best time that day, and hope to break out. But MANY MANY racers would pad their dial and just cut a light and beat their opponent to the stripe. Happened all the time.

If a sandbagger is winning...., its cause he had room on the tree.......
You cant sand bag, and win, if the other lane does thier job......., you will HAVE to break out.......

You might have missed one thing why guys don't race. License.I am never good enough to break into the nines consistently. I have the forms and Dr. note but the beast keeps breaking and I suck at launching.

You're right Heath, and there is no way to stay consistant if you are sandbagging. You have to have a better tree every pass unless the other guy has a problem.

Ya I see it at my track...The only bike class they have is streetbike class 10.00 and over...So any street bike that is going out there is sand baggin big time....I`ve seen a couple ZX14`s ,Busa`s,ect.ect.....Thats not my way of racing.....Even that 6.50 class is mostly sand baggin too....Looks Very dangerous watching them hitting the brakes at the finish line at 120 plus mph.....

I hope 5.80 index (1/8 mile) is fast enough for my street bike racers. It shouldn't be much sandbagging. I see racing as a skill. No matter if your sandbagging or not, the point is to win. And it take practice to be a winner. A good racer started at the bottom.
Wheelie we need a class to get these guys to understand the rules and how to understand if you won or not. I have many of guys that join these classes and don't really understand the rules. They want to know, but they don't ask anyone until they lose and they are upset. Most folks blame the computer.

Mass, you need a website, kott.us or massconnection.us are available domain names, do you already own massconnection.com? racers and spectators could keep informed on what you are doing or how you are doing it, and you can have a learning forum for questions, detailed video instructions for those who don't want to ask, just a thought, btw if you don't think a 5.80 class is fast enough what about a 5.70 index?

I need the class with most entries. I want a good payout for my racers. The website idea is a good idea. I will look into it after this race. This race will tell me if I need to keep going or find something else to do with my time. I'm hoping for the best for the KOTT!

If you've got guys doing that and winning consitantly then the other racers aren't very good. You can't always depend on having the best light and taking the finish line because if a guys has a decent light and runs his time the margin will only be a few inches.
If I were running a track and doing a heads up class for bikes I would do 5.90 or 6.00. Any quicker and you limit the bikes that will enter.
